The platform was engineered to clear the RCMP FRT as Non-restricted — proprietary upper geometry plus AR-15 magazine compatibility, similar in market positioning to the Kodiak Defence WK180C (Batch 1) and the Sterling Arms R18 MK2 (Batch 5). The Raven reached Canadian retailers in 2018–2019. SOR/2024-248 named it on December 5, 2024.
